Jefferson County Historical Society History and Genealogy Fair

Share your stories and learn about climbing your family tree! Speak with local historians and explore the historic Paddock mansion.

Anyone who has not registered yet, I invite you to take a look at your calendar for Saturday, August 22nd. The Fair will be open to the public from 11am-2pm and will be held at the Jefferson County Historical Society. There is no cost for your organization to table at this event. We do ask that organizations bring their own tables; however, we do have a limited number of tables we can provide for those without. All organizations will need to provide their own tablecloth.

Lunch will be available for tabling organizations with more details to come, and we will also have guest speakers who will present on various topics throughout the day:

  • Dr. Laurie Rush, at 11:30am, will be presenting on Geology and Immigration to Northern NY
  • Baylor Durant, at 12:30pm, will be presenting on Preserving Jefferson County's Past: 140 Years of the Jefferson County Historical Society
  • Dr. Jason White, at 1:30pm, will be presenting on the History of Watertown, NY

Our goal is to share our love of local history and spark an interest in new researchers.

If your organization is interested in tabling at this event, please RSVP to amorrison@ncls.org by Friday, August 7th to reserve your spot at this year's History and Genealogy Fair.
