Good morning,
I thought you may be interested in sharing details with your members about the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society's (NYG&B) 2026 New York State Family History Conference this fall, as this is New York's largest statewide family history conference.
When:
- September 9–November 16, 2026 (On-Demand Access)
- September 18–19, 2026 (Livestreaming Programs from the NYG&B Headquarters in New York City)
This year's conference, New Perspectives, Best Practices, will feature livestreaming presentations from the NYG&B headquarters in New York City as well as additional on-demand sessions for all conference registrants. All livestreaming programming will be made available with all the other on-demand programming through November 16, 2026.
We will be joined by researchers, genealogists, and all those interested in family history for a deep dive on how to navigate family history in New York State, with more than 30 sessions and events led by more than 20 of the top voices in the field.
Session topics will cover resources like New York records and repositories; methodology; migration and settlement; immigration and immigrant communities; New Yorkers of color and others whose stories have been historically underrepresented; and much more.
See more details, including full program descriptions and all speakers.
If this is something of interest to your members, we would be very appreciative if you could help spread the word and share on your website, in any newsletters, or on social media. Some sample text is included for you below, if that is helpful.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Thank you for your consideration!
Best regards,
Michele
